Anonymous at 8:52 PM in the "Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?" suggested a post about J.Crew's different "fits" for denim. Although there was a post awhile back about J.Crew pants' fit in general ("J.Crew Fit: Which is your fave?"), I think it is a great idea to bring back the topic again, but for jeans in specific (especially with all the sales going on in-stores, it would be great to know which fits to try on!)J.Crew offers lots of pant styles for denim like: Matchstick, Trouser, Bootcut, Hip-slung, and Boy-fit.
I actually own several pairs of J.Crew jeans (although I must confess that I am a big fan of Gap's jeans as well). I have stuck to the same style: trouser cut. I find this particular style look best (e.g. the most flattering) on my 5'8" pear shaped frame. Although I love how matchstick jeans looks, I don't even bother trying them on (let alone buying a pair) because I know they would never work for my body type. ;)
As a help to others who are unsure what style to get: What is your body style and favorite style? How do you like the lengths of J.Crew denim as well?
