La Belle Helene came up with a great topic for a post (in the "Be Back Soon... I Remember You! ;)" post): "what awesome items did you get from Fall 2007" which I thought could be updated to "what awesome items did you get from Fall 2008"?J.Crew definitely offered some really beautiful pieces (I just love the university trouser leg pants!), some really questionable pieces (did I mention how much I dislike those bug pins?), and some overly hyped pieces (were the Ecole jackets really "the IT" jacket this season?). It would be great to hear everyone's take on what items Aficionadas/ Aficionados consider J.Crew's "best items" purchased this Fall season.
Personally, I really like one particular J.Crew Fall item that is still available- the Chiffon rosette belt. I know- what a small and insignificant item compared to some other options- but I love them! The belts are super cute and available in great color combinations. Moreover, I have been wearing the belts in multiple ways: (1) worn around the hips (with pants and jeans); (2) worn around the waist to cinch up a loose fitting jacket (like the Herringbone Fiona) and around dresses; and (3) worn as a hair accessory to cinch up a ponytail. I was able to get all four colors for less than $4 each as they were on sale in-stores for $9.99 plus an additional 40% off, plus another 15% off for the teacher's discount. I can't understand why J.Crew's online store has yet to put these belts on sale though.
